Share your power story on "The New Quo" podcast via D&Der Christina Blacken

How might we transform if we shared stories and solutions explicitly rooted in our core values instead of just our fears and judgments?

This question emerged as Dreamers & Doers member Christina Blacken witnessed her seven-year body of work come under attack amid growing fascism in the U.S., global unrest, multiple genocides, climate disasters, and harmful narratives undermining human rights. These events not only impacted her livelihood but also shattered what she believed was our path toward an equitable future.

After numerous conversations about finding pragmatic hope with colleagues, Christina identified a critical issue: the social and cultural knowledge that improves our relationships and communities and inspires positive change is chronically under-taught, overlooked, and now actively attacked.

Refusing to become silent despite mounting challenges, Christina launched The New Quo Learning Community in January to share the knowledge and ethical storytelling practices she had been teaching within corporations, universities, and non-profits. She is now launching a podcast about those stories and would love to potentially feature your story on it!

Description:
Our brains are wired to focus on what is wrong, but this means we often miss the cultural and ethical wisdom right in front of us—wisdom about what is working, good, and new—that can help us find real solutions to our problems.

This podcast features inspiring personal development tips and stories of ethical and cultural wisdom from incredible unconventional leaders, original poetry, pop culture, social justice book reviews, and overlooked historical recaps, curated and produced by Christina Blacken, founder of The New Quo Learning Community—a weekly email newsletter and monthly coaching community that helps mission-driven folks use the power of personal storytelling and overlooked ethical and cultural wisdom to create a better future.

The Tell It Proud podcast will inspire listeners with overlooked topics that crusty, inequitable leaders often want erased or ignored—because they challenge and change the status quo for the better.

Submission:
Christina is looking for true, non-fiction stories from underrepresented voices that share ethical or cultural wisdom from their lives or identities. The first set of stories will focus on the topic of power

➡️ If you’re interested or know someone who could be a fit, submit your story here and pass on this submission form.
