A Love Letter to the Ones Building Boldly

the “big idea” of Dreamers & Doers.

 

In reality...it was born out of my own misalignment.

👋🏽Hi, I’m Gesche, founder of Dreamers & Doers.​​

​​​

​​

I had left a role at a hedge fund to build my first company.

​

On paper, everything looked exciting. But behind the scenes, I felt the weight of making every decision alone, with very few people around me who truly understood what it meant to build something from scratch.

​​​

​

Not the highlight reel.

The real thing.

​​​​​

​

The doubt. The financial pressure.

The dreams that felt too audacious to share with most people.

 

I didn’t (yet) know what I needed.

I just knew the way I was building wasn’t sustainable, nor would it get me to where I ultimately wanted to go.

Then came a brunch with another founder.

This changed everything.

​

​

We didn’t hold back. We talked about fears, tradeoffs, growth, and

the nuanced business challenges we were navigating. 

​

For the first time, I left feeling clearer and more energized instead

of depleted.

​

I saw what was possible in the right room.

It expanded what we thought was possible.

​

So we kept meeting.

​

Other women started joining. They were impressive, generous, values-aligned entrepreneurs who were craving the same depth. 

 

Women building serious businesses. Women who cared about how they were building just as much as what they were building.

 

We grew slowly and intentionally, protecting the caliber of the room from the beginning.

From the start, we said no to growth

that didn’t feel right.​​​​​

 

 

No to outside capital.

No to scaling in ways that would compromise the experience.

 

We weren’t building something for everyone.

We were building for women craving depth and alignment,

in business, and in life.

 

Fast forward over a decade later, Dreamers & Doers has become a home for women entering their expansion eras.

 

It’s a room that raises our standards, stretches our thinking, and expands what we believe is possible. ✨
