Increase your visibility via Qwoted & Source of Sources’ numerous pitch opps

While we source as many exclusive #PRHypeMachine opportunities for you as possible (#VIPtreatment), we’re excited to uncover various kinds of visibility and PR opportunities for you.

Because writers use all kinds of platforms to find expert sources (like you!) for news stories, articles, and features, we wanted to put two popular options on your radar: Qwoted and Source of Sources (a new platform created by the founder of HARO).

Both platforms give you a direct line to the media even if you don’t have a PR rep, making them either completely free (or affordable if you go for a paid plan) ways to get featured in articles and build your brand and thought leadership. 🙌

Read on for pro tips on Signing Up, Finding Press Opportunities, and Making Your Pitch Stand Out!

⭐️ Signing Up

Qwoted: Qwoted is free for two pitches a month (or $99 - $149/month for unlimited pitches)

Source of Sources: Source of Sources is free and offers daily media inquiries.

#ProTip: Our journalist source✨shared that she prefers finding sources via Qwoted, but try signing up for both to see where you get more traction for your subject matter expertise!

🌟 What Next

On Qwoted, head to the “Opportunities” tab, where writers post details about the expertise they’re looking for. Under “Advanced Search” you can filter by topic hashtags or search for keywords to quickly find opportunities relevant to you.

#ProTip: If you’re out of pitches for the month, use the “free to pitch” filter to find stories you can still submit for.

On Source of Sources, provide your name and email to receive up to three daily emails containing journalist queries across various topics. If a query aligns with your expertise, you can respond directly to the journalist.

💫 Making Your Pitch Stand Out #ProTips

Our journalist friend shared these tips for standing out as an expert 👀

  • Answer “why you?” in the first sentence: As quickly as you can, share why you should be the source a writer picks, such as unique expertise, exclusive information, compelling case studies, or even a hot take related to the topic.

  • Follow pitch instructions: Don’t copy and paste the same info for every opportunity — pay attention to exactly what the writer is asking for.

  • Keep it concise: Journalists will skim (or even skip) your pitch if it’s a wall of text. Provide short or bulleted responses that tease of what you have to offer (unless they specifically ask for longer quotes).

  • Be careful using AI: Writers can easily sniff out generic advice copied from ChatGPT. Even if you use AI tools to help you draft, make sure your final response shows off your personality and insights that only YOU can give.

We’re so excited to keep adding exciting visibility opportunities of all kinds on your radar for you to choose the most aligned from! It’s the greatest honor to catalyze YOU on your journey!
