Jessie Sanchez has proudly called herself an entrepreneur for over a decade—but for most of that time, her work lived at the intersection of graphic design, marketing, and ecommerce strategy. She helped startups scale to more than $2.5 million in revenue. But when AI tools began generating logos, websites, and pitch decks in minutes, Jessie recognized a shift—and an opportunity to evolve.
The spark for her next chapter came from an unexpected place: a dream her husband had about a “Disneyland for Women.” Jessie couldn’t shake the idea. What if there were a space where women could access everything they needed to build successful businesses—and actually enjoy the process?
That vision became the foundation for Happy Brand Company, a marketing and accountability coaching business designed to help ecommerce founders grow visibility, deepen connection, and generate consistent revenue through authentic marketing. At its core, Jessie’s work is about creating energizing, supportive experiences where product-based entrepreneurs build momentum—and feel genuinely celebrated along the way.
With her first cohort complete, Jessie is both proud of the founders she’s supported and energized for what’s ahead.
How have you grown as a leader since starting your company? What experiences have contributed to this growth?
This year, I discovered that I believe in myself! Through coaching, I have found great joy and confidence in helping business owners over hurdles—and in being with them as they achieve goals that support their big dreams. It’s forced me to practice what I preach: showing up, committing to the strategies, and cheering for myself even on the hard days.
Every client win is a reflection of the leader I am becoming. The messiest moments shape me the most. Walking alongside clients who are stopped or defiant—then seeing them break through—made me realize that great leadership means loving someone and believing in their potential before they can see it or believe it themselves.
What are some of the most meaningful impacts your work has had so far?
The most meaningful impact is watching someone find confidence and a new love for their business. One of my cohort members—who has been in business for ten years—shared this in our group chat: “I'm at the post office dropping off my first Sweet Gestures box. This may be my first time having an idea and seeing it straight through!!” Helping someone move from idea to action—especially when they’ve never done it before—was an unexpected gift.
Have you discovered any underappreciated leadership traits or misconceptions around leadership?
The most underappreciated leadership trait is genuine celebration. People are starving for someone to be proud of them, but most coaches skip right past the win to the next goal. I have learned that staying curious about my clients, really asking and listening, and then losing my mind with excitement when they follow through creates more momentum than any strategy or task I could give them. We all need someone to bring the confetti!
What’s next for you and your company?
As I complete this first cohort, I am already pouring what I am learning into what comes next. The Authentic Marketing Collective starts up again in mid-April with six spots. I’m keeping it cozy on purpose. I’m also seeking every growth opportunity to show up as the best coach possible for product-based business owners.
