Sponsorship Overview

This sponsorship is specifically designed for members who are Black, Indigenous, Latinx, transgender, disabled, and/or single mothers. Please note that bootstrapping a company will not qualify you for sponsorship on its own, since we are focused on overcoming systemic barriers.

This sponsorship adheres to our rigorous selection criteria, which includes demonstrating a strong leadership track record, sharing our values, and committing to being #BetterTogether!

Sponsorship recipients undergo the same membership vetting as all other applicants.

Dreamers & Doers will sponsor approximately 30% of your membership, meaning you would pay about 70% of the regular membership rate. You can choose to invest in your membership through annual or quarterly installments. This means your partially sponsored rate would come out to just $588/quarter or $1,960/year.

And the best part? If you're accepted, you'll lock in your sponsorship rate, ensuring it stays the same moving forward! 🔒

We do our best to honor the price you joined at, barring external factors that impact us beyond our control.

No. You will receive the exact same membership benefits as everyone else. 🙌🏽 There will be absolutely no difference. Furthermore, you will “show up” within the community just like all other members, so you, or other members can’t tell which members are being sponsored by Dreamers & Doers.

Just as you will receive the exact same members as everyone else, you will be held to the exact same standards as all other members (i.e. there isn’t any preferential or more lenient treatment for sponsorship recipients). This means that when and if you are accepted to membership you can rest assured that you’ve gone through the exact same vetting as all other members. You are also expected to adhere to community guidelines like everyone else.

We’ve aimed to design this as seamless as possible for you.

1️⃣ As part of the regular membership application you’ll answer two quick sponsorship-specific questions as well as submit your payment information for the special partially sponsored lower rate.

2️⃣ Continue seamlessly with the regular application to complete the remaining questions—*skipping* the payment step for the standard rate that you’ll be prompted to submit at the end.

3️⃣ Hear back within a week! If approved, you’ll lock in the special sponsorship rate. If not, you’ll have the choice to continue with your application at the full membership rate or withdraw.

💡 Sponsorship approval doesn’t automatically guarantee membership—though we typically award sponsorships only when we’re confident Dreamers & Doers is a strong mutual fit.

You’ll receive your final membership decision alongside all other applicants. 🩷

Yes, you are welcome to apply for sponsorship. However, please note that the 30% sponsorship is applied to current membership rates (currently set at $2800/year or $875/quarter). Therefore, depending on when you joined, sponsorship may not financially benefit you.

We understand that individuals not part of “traditionally” marginalized groups (or the particular groups we decided to focus on) may have also experienced unthinkable hardships in their life. While we have set very specific categories for this sponsorship (and a core defining factor of the Dreamers & Doers community is diversity), you are welcome to fill out the sponsorship-specific portion of the application so you can tell us a bit more about your particular situation. We understand the limitations of any criteria, especially on a topic as complex as identity.
